Refund & Cancellation Policy

Steadfast Mobile Notary & Signing Services

Our goal: fair, transparent pricing and hassle-free appointments. Because we reserve time, travel, and platform resources for you, some fees are non-refundable as noted below.

1) What’s refundable

  • Service fees not performed (e.g., an appointment you cancel with sufficient notice) are refundable to the original payment method.

  • Refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days after approval.

2) Cancellations & rescheduling

  • Mobile notarization (standard appointments)

    • 24+ hours’ notice: Full refund of any prepaid service fees.

    • Under 24 hours but before travel begins: Full refund.

    • After travel begins / on arrival: Travel fee and any after-hours/parking/wait-time already incurred are non-refundable. You may reschedule once at no charge within 7 days.

  • Loan signings

    • 24+ hours’ notice: Full refund of the signing fee. If a print/scan prep was completed, a $15 print/handling charge may be retained.

    • Under 24 hours: Up to $50 late-cancellation may apply if documents were prepared, plus any travel already incurred.

  • RON (Remote Online Notarization)

    • 60+ minutes’ notice: Full refund of the RON fee(s).

    • Under 60 minutes or no-show: Platform/session fees are non-refundable; you can reschedule once within 7 days at no extra charge.

3) No-shows & late arrivals

  • No-show (15 minutes past start with no contact): Travel/platform and after-hours fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.

  • Late arrivals: We’ll do our best to accommodate within your reserved window; wait-time fees may apply.

4) When we must refuse or cannot proceed

We must follow Oregon notarial law. If we cannot proceed because of:

  • Invalid/expired ID, signer not present, incomplete documents, blank spaces that can’t be completed, coercion/duress, inability/unwillingness to take an oath/affirmation (for jurats), or your specific certificate isn’t authorized,
    then travel/platform fees are non-refundable, and any notarial fee is only charged if a notarial act was completed. We’re happy to reschedule once at no charge when the issue is resolved.

5) What’s never refundable

  • Completed notarial acts (statutory notary fees)

  • Travel fees, after-hours/weekend surcharges, parking/tolls, wait-time, printing/scanbacks once performed

  • Shipping/courier once the package has been accepted by the carrier (USPS/UPS/FedEx)

  • RON platform/session fees once a session has started

6) Corrections & quality

If we make an error, we will correct and re-notarize at no charge (and re-ship if applicable). Please notify us within 7 days of the appointment.

7) Shipping

  • Standard returns are sent via tracked USPS unless otherwise requested. Postage and supplies are not refundable once shipped.

  • If you request expedited service, those charges are paid in full and are non-refundable after tender to the carrier.

8) Disputes & chargebacks

Please contact us first—nearly all issues can be resolved quickly. Unauthorized chargebacks may incur bank fees. Steadfast Mobile Notary & Signing Services will not be responsible for these fees.

Note: Oregon law sets the maximum fee for certain notarial acts. Travel/printing/platform and related service charges are separate and disclosed in advance.
